Have you ever wondered about the stories behind your favorite songs? Have you dived deep into a singer songwriter's life to see what really motivated them to sit down for hours and spend $1000s to tell that particular story? Most artists today do not write the music they play. Many artists - like Brittney Spears - are solid entertainers, but when it comes down to the music of the music, or the story behind the music, they are a million miles away. Johnny Durango wanted to pull those two worlds together - the final product and the root story. "At least 95% of what I write about actually happened," said Johnny D. "I started writing the book - kind of fiddling with it - and then I fell in love with it. As a fan of music myself, I'd go nuts to hear from the writer himself or herself, about exactly what happened to come up with that material. After writing it, I thought it was a really cool new way to experience an album. It is something I've never experienced before. If people like it, I'll likely do it for all of my albums. But, whether they do or not, I can tell you that I love it."
